The outfit consists of a semi-transparent polyamide mesh that covers the whole body and shows a series of tattoos with multicultural references. Patches of waxed cotton are added to create volume, especially on the extremities. “It’s all about being involved in the making. The process matters more than the final result”. An idea that is embodied in this proposal.
The Body x The Object
“I wanted to work with objects and garments, to contrast the ideas of art, product design, and fashion. Bringing all of this together and connecting it to the human body”. To do this, the student divides her design into two distinct parts: the body and the object. In her study, she works by printing garments in translucent plastic and thereby recreates the permanence of objects or beings that are no longer there. She transfers this concept to her outfit by applying deconstructed materials from other garments.
