The proposal of this student, originally from Malaysia, is inspired by the traditional Malay costume. An interesting starting point that is specified in the formal exploration and the application of varied motifs: “I created a lotus flower print based on the traditional method of wax printing called batik, dyeing it, having first applied wax to the parts to be left undyed".

The motifs

"I digitally distorted the motif to give greater visual strength and I combined it with various techniques such as Flock and laser cutting”. These motifs adorn the garment giving it a suggestive texture.
